Drawing Wind

I am interested in visualizing the invisible. Drawing Wind is an ongoing series of drawings created by making intermediary tools to translate wind into strokes. Drawing machines are built at different sites to record the wind using vine charcoal. The work acts as both a tool and a collaborator, transforming energy into image, and capturing the beauty of natural randomness.
I have had a long held interest in drawing machines that generate the books in the Charged Particles project and the Drawing Pendulums project in my pedagogy.
